Cielo Smart Thermostat works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri Shortcuts, and Samsung SmartThings.
Setting up schedules using the Cielo Home app:
Step 1: On the Control screen, tap on 'Schedules' in the navigation bar.
Step 2: Tap on the '+' icon.
Step 3: Select the time and day(s) on which you want the schedule to run.
Step 4: Select the 'Preset' you want to schedule.
Step 5: Tap 'Save'. Your schedule is now saved.
Now you are at the schedules home screen. You can see schedules for any specific day by tapping on that particular day.
Deleting/Editing a schedule:
Step 1: On the Control screen, tap on 'Schedules' in the navigation bar.
Step 2: In the 'Schedule' tab, you will see all your set schedules.
Step 3: Swipe left on the schedule you want to edit or delete until both options for Edit/Delete appear. Choose your desired option and proceed. You can also swipe until the left edge of the screen to delete the schedule.
Enabling Location Control (Turn Your HVAC system on Before You Arrive and Turn It off After You Have Left the Pre-set Location)
You can configure location-based control for your HVAC system by performing these steps via the Cielo Home app:
Step 1: On the Control screen, Tap on 'e-saver' in the navigation bar.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Geofencing’.
Step 3: Toggle the slider to enable Location Control, as shown in the red box.
Step 4: You will see your current location on the map. Set a Geo-Fence range between 1 - 10 Miles using the slider. Entering or exiting this range will trigger the HVAC system ON/ OFF. Tap on 'Next'.
Step 5: Select the preset you want to set and tap 'Done'.
Setting up Vacation Mode
Step 1: On the Control screen, Tap on 'e-saver' in the navigation bar.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Vacation Mode'.
Step 3: Set start and end date/time, and set your preferred temperature settings,
Step 4: Tap 'Done'.
Your vacation Mode is now saved.
Deleting/Editing Vacation Mode
Step 1: On the Control screen, Tap on 'e-saver' in the navigation bar.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Vacation Mode'.
Step 3: You have the option to edit and delete the vacation at the bottom of the screen.
Changing Fan Settings
Step 1: On the Control screen, tap on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right.
Step 2: Tap on 'Fan Settings'.
Step 3: You can set a custom fan setting or set a timer for the fan to run a specific duration.
Adding a custom Preset:
Step 1: Go to settings by tapping the 'Settings' icon on the control screen.
Step 2: Select 'Presets'.
Step 3: Tap on the '+' sign.
Step 4: Set your preferred temperature and fan settings.
Step 5: Choose when you want these settings to apply and name your Preset.
Step 6: Tap 'Save'. Your custom Preset is now saved.
Editing a default Preset:
Step 1: Select the 'Preset' you want to edit.
Step 2: Tap on the temperature set point and fan speed, then change it to your preferred setting. Tap 'Update'.
Changing Device Name
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap on the Thermostat.
Step 2: Tap on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right.
Step 3: Tap on ‘Device Preferences’.
Step 4: Tap on ‘Change Name’.
Step 5: Select the new name from a list of common names, or type a custom name.
Step 6: Type the device's new name, and tap on 'Done'. The device name is now changed.
Changing the Brightness of the Thermostat
Step 1: Go to settings by tapping the 'Settings' icon on the control screen.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Device Preferences’.
Step 3: Tap on 'Display & Brightness'.
Step 4: Use the slider to adjust the brightness.
Motion Detection
Your thermostat can automatically detect your presence and activate the control screen. You can also set it up to switch from Away to Home settings when motion is detected. Here's how to enable it using the Cielo Home app:
Step 1: Go to settings by tapping the 'Settings' icon on the control screen.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Device Preferences’.
Step 3: Tap on 'Motion Detection'.
Step 4: Toggle the button to turn on motion detection.
Switch Temperature Units Between Centigrade and Fahrenheit
Step 1: Go to settings by tapping the 'Settings' icon on the control screen.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Device Preferences’.
Step 3: Tap on the C to F toggle against 'Temperature Unit'.
Step 4: Your device's temperature units are changed successfully from Fahrenheit to Celsius.
Calibrate Room Temperature
Step 1: Go to settings by tapping the 'Settings' icon on the control screen.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Device Preferences’.
Step 3: Tap on 'Calibration'.
Step 4: Adjust the temperature as required.
Step 5: Tap on 'Done'. Your device has now been calibrated.
Calibrate Room Humidity
Step 1: Go to settings by tapping the 'Settings' icon on the control screen.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Device Preferences’.
Step 3: Tap on 'Calibration'.
Step 4: Tap on 'Temperature'.
Step 5: From the drop-down menu, tap on 'Humidity'. Adjust the humidity as required.
Step 6: Tap on 'Done'. Your device has now been calibrated.
Adding Address:
Step 1: Go to settings by tapping the 'Settings' icon on the control screen.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Device Preferences’.
Step 3: Tap on 'Address'.
Step 4: Tap on 'Begin'.
Step 5: Enter your address details and tap on 'Next'.
Step 6: Pick a label or add a custom address, and tap on 'Done'.
You have successfully added the address.
Unlinking the App From the Device
Step 1: Go to settings by tapping the 'Settings' icon on the control screen.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Unlink Device’.
Step 3: Tap on 'Unlink'.
You have successfully unlinked the app from the device.
