The Cielo Breez Plus features a built-in temperature sensor that monitors your room climate. Temperature calibration helps correct inaccuracies caused by differences between the ambient temperature near your Breez Plus and the rest of your room.
Why Readings Can Differ
- Sunlight shining directly on the Breez Plus may cause it to register a higher temperature.
- Drafts from windows, doors, or vents can cause inaccurate room readings compared to the actual temperature.
- Heat given off by nearby devices, such as TVs or lamps, may warm the immediate area around the thermostat.
How to Test if Calibration Is Required
It’s easy to check if your Breez Plus requires calibration:
- Place a reliable thermometer close to your Breez Plus at the same level.
Note: Make sure that there are no external factors like drafty windows or heat sources that could interfere with the reading.
- Wait for about 10–15 minutes. If there's a gap in readings, adjust your Breez Plus accordingly. Example: If your thermometer shows 74°F but the Plus reads 79°F, calibrate the sensor using the app.
