What is the function of Freeze Protection (FP) mode in an air conditioner & is Cielo Breez Eco compatible with this mode?

Freeze Protection (FP), as the name suggests, is utilized to prevent freezing temperatures in extremely cold conditions. Freeze Protection is operational in heat mode wherein an air conditioner runs on minimum power to maintain the indoor temperature at a suitable value such as 46° F, to prevent freezing.

This is extremely useful for rooms or vacation homes that are not in use during winter and are susceptible to damage. During extreme conditions, water pipes may freeze and burst, but utilizing the FP mode and consuming minimum energy can efficiently prevent damage.

Yes, Cielo Breez Eco is compatible with air conditioner models that support FP mode through their remote control.

The FP mode is also known by the names of Min. heat, Low heat, 8C, etc. depending on the AC manufacturer.
