The Cielo Breez Eco features a built-in temperature sensor that monitors your room climate. If the displayed temperature doesn’t quite match the actual room conditions, you can calibrate the temperature sensor using the Cielo Home app. Calibration adjusts the reading so your device reflects the true ambient temperature of your room.
Why Readings Can Differ
- Sunlight shining directly on the Breez Eco may cause it to register a higher temperature.
- Drafts from windows, doors, or vents can cause inaccurate room readings compared to the actual temperature.
- Heat given off by nearby devices, such as TVs or lamps, may warm the immediate area around the thermostat.
How to Test if Calibration Is Required
It’s easy to check if your Breez Eco requires calibration:
- Place a reliable thermometer close to your Breez Eco at the same level.
Note: Make sure that there are no external factors like drafty windows or heat sources that could interfere with the reading.
- Wait for about 10–15 minutes. If there's a gap in readings, adjust your Breez Eco accordingly. Example: If your thermometer shows 74°F but the Eco reads 79°F, calibrate the sensor using the app.
Calibrating Temperature Using the Cielo Home App
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap the 'Settings' on the top right.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap on 'Calibration'.
Step 4: Calibrate the indoor temperature as required.
💡Helpful Information
- In Fahrenheit, you can calibrate temperature by up to ±8°F in either direction at a time. To calibrate further, first save your initial calibration, then you can adjust an additional ±7°F.
- In Celsius, you can calibrate temperature by up to ±5°C in either direction at a time. To calibrate further, first save your initial calibration, then you can adjust an additional ±4°C
Step 5: Tap on 'Apply'. The Temperature sensor in Breez Eco has been successfully calibrated.
