Pro Setup Overview
Getting Started

Search for ‘Cielo PRO’ on App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- To access the Cielo PRO web app, visit: pro.cielowigle.com
Signing Up for the First Time
Open the Cielo PRO app and sign up to create a new account.
Step 1: Enter your email address.
Step 2: Create a secure password and confirm it to proceed.
Step 3: A 6-digit code will be sent to your registered email. Enter this code in the app for verification and tap on ‘Continue’.
Registration
Register as a Company
Choose this if you are setting up a centralized account for an HVAC business with multiple technicians.
- Create a company profile to link all your technicians under a single platform.
- Seamlessly track installations and manage your employees, customers, and device hand-offs.
Step 1: Select ‘Register as a Company’.
Step 2: Enter your contact details.
Step 3: You’ll be taken to the Join or Set Up Company screen.
How to Join a Company
Step 1: Use the search bar to find your company.
Step 2: The company details will be displayed. Tap ‘Join Company’.
The company admin will be notified of your request.
Step 3: Your request will appear as pending in the Cielo PRO App. Once the company admin accepts your invitation, you'll be automatically notified via email.
Check the Status of Your Request
If you’ve requested to join a company in the Cielo PRO App, you can easily check whether your request is pending or approved.
Tap the ‘Settings’ icon at the top right > Tap 'Company Details'.
If your request is still pending, it will be indicated.
If your request is accepted, the company details will be displayed.
How to Set Up a New Company
Step 1: Tap ‘Setup As a New Company' to create a new profile for your business.
Step 2: Enter the company details, phone number, and address.
Step 3: Add your company logo to display your business information in the homeowner’s app.
Register as an Independent HVAC Pro
If you are not affiliated with any HVAC company, you can also register as an Independent HVAC Pro in the Cielo PRO App.
An individual account allows you to manage your installations and customer profiles in one place. It also helps you maintain direct connections with your customers, making it easier to provide faster support and service.
Step 1: Select ‘Register as an Individual’.
Step 2: Provide contact details and complete address. Tap ‘Continue’ to proceed.
Step 3: Add your logo to display your details on the homeowner's thermostat and app.
AI-Generated HVAC Configuration Templates
AI-generated templates are automatically created based on the thermostat wiring, ensuring faster, more accurate installations with zero manual configuration.
Device Installation Using AI-Generated HVAC Configuration Templates
Follow the steps below to set up a Cielo smart thermostat using AI-generated HVAC configuration templates.
Step 1: On the homescreen, tap on ‘Install a Product’.
Step 2: Select the Cielo device that you are installing. The app will automatically begin searching for the device.
Step 3: The detected wires will be displayed automatically, or you will be prompted to select the wires manually. This depends on the Cielo smart thermostat being installed. Once you've confirmed the wiring configuration, tap on 'Continue'.
Step 4: The Cielo PRO App will automatically suggest the HVAC configuration template based on the wiring configuration. Select the suggested AI-generated HVAC template.
Step 5: Carefully review the equipment preferences to ensure all settings match the installed system.
Tap 'Continue' to proceed.
Step 6: If you made any changes to the suggested template, you will be prompted to save it for future installations:
- Tap ‘Yes, save this configuration’.
- Tap ‘No, don’t save’ to continue without saving.
Step 7: When saving the template, enter a configuration name, then tap ‘Save'.
The device configuration is now complete. You can proceed to equipment testing.
Test Equipment
The Test Equipment function allows you to test heating, cooling, fan, and connected accessories to ensure a reliable setup and minimize post-installation callbacks.
Step 1: After configuring the thermostat, tap ‘Start Testing’.
Step 2: Tap the function that you want to test, such as fan, heating, and cooling.
Note: The options shown on the Test Equipment screen will vary based on your configured equipment. For instance, if you have only a heat pump, the available options will differ from those when both the heat pump and auxiliary heat are connected.
Step 3: Tap 'ON' (fan) or 'Stage 1' (heating/cooling) to initiate the test.
After testing is complete, you will be prompted:
‘Is everything working correctly?’
- Tap ‘Yes, Continue’ if all functions are operating properly.
- Tap ‘No, Reconfigure’ to check the wiring again.
Add Contact Details on Homeowner’s Thermostat & App
After configuring and testing the equipment, you can add your logo to the customer’s thermostat and app.
This ensures customers can easily reach you for future service and support.
Step 1: Tap 'Upload'.
Step 2: Add your logo.
Device Hand-Off
Once a thermostat is installed and configured, the Cielo PRO app makes it easy to hand off ownership to the homeowner instantly, either by sending them an invite link or having them scan a QR code on-site.
Step 1: After configuring the thermostat, testing the device, and adding your logo, select ‘Device Handoff’.
Step 2: Add the customer’s email address and other details. Tap ‘Continue'.
Note: If the customer already has a Cielo account, use the same email address associated with it.
Step 3: The invite link will be shared with the homeowner. You can also ask the homeowner to scan the QR code, depending on their preference. Tap ‘Done’.
Once the handoff is complete, the installed thermostat is linked to the homeowner's account.
Handoff Later
The Cielo PRO app also offers a Handoff Later option for added convenience. You can set up the thermostat in advance from anywhere, and once at the customer's location, simply install it, test it, and hand it over.
Step 1: Tap 'Handoff Later'.
Step 2: Add a note for later.
Step 3: Later, when you arrive at the customer’s house, tap ‘Resume Installation’ on the Cielo PRO app home screen to continue the setup from where you left off.
Pre-Configured Templates
Templates allow HVAC Pros to quickly apply preconfigured settings, reducing setup time and minimizing errors. Simply select the system wiring, customize equipment settings, and the templates will be created in seconds.
Creating a Template in Cielo PRO App
Step 1: Go to the ‘Templates’ tab in the navigation bar. Tap ‘Create a Template’.
Step 2: Select all applicable wiring terminals based on the HVAC system. Tap ‘Continue’ to proceed.
Step 3: Customize the equipment preferences. This will vary based on the configured system. Tap ‘Continue’ to proceed. Then choose the preferred temperature unit. Tap 'Continue'.
Step 4: Add a name for your template and tap ‘Save’.
You can also edit or delete a template.
Device Installation Using Pre-Saved Templates
Follow the steps below to set up a Cielo smart thermostat using pre-saved templates.
Step 1: On the homescreen, tap on ‘Install a Product’.
Step 2: Select the Cielo device that you are installing. The app will automatically begin searching for the device.
Step 3: Once the device is successfully connected, you will be prompted to choose how you want to proceed with the installation. Select ‘Use My Template’.
Step 4: Choose the appropriate pre-saved template for the current setup.
Review the displayed configuration details to ensure accuracy, then tap ‘Continue'.
The device will be configured using your selected template. Then, follow the steps mentioned above from test equipment to device hand-off to complete the setup.
Customer Management
The Cielo PRO app provides a centralized Customer Dashboard that gives you a complete view of your client base.
- View every customer along with their installation history.
- Quickly find any customer using the search bar.
- Add new customers.
This streamlined view helps you stay organized and manage installations efficiently.
Adding a New Customer
Here’s how to add a customer in the Cielo PRO app:
Step 1: On the homescreen, go to the ‘Customers’ tab in the navigation bar.
Step 2: Tap ‘Create new customer’.
Step 3: Add customer details. Tap ‘Continue’.
Note: When adding a new customer, the owner or admin can assign the customer to a specific Pro. The assigned Pro will then be able to view the customer’s details in their account.
Step 4: You can check the added customer in the ‘Customers’ tab.
Customer Profile & Service History
You can view a customer’s installation data using the Customer Tab in the Cielo PRO app.
Simply select a customer from the list to access their detailed installation information, including:
- Device ID: The unique identifier for each installed thermostat.
- Installed By: Shows the name of the Pro who installed the thermostat.
- Installed On: The date the device was installed.
- Location: The site where the device was installed.
This allows you to quickly review installation history and monitor device status from one centralized place.
Company Settings
To access the company settings, tap the ‘Settings icon’ at the top right.
Here you can access:
- Company Details
Update your business address, phone number, and company logo with ease.
- Employee Management
Efficiently manage workforce by:
- Viewing current employees
- Updating employee roles
- Adding new team members
- Reviewing pending join requests
- Archiving members when required
Employee Management
The Cielo PRO App allows you to easily manage your team, adding members and updating roles as responsibilities change.
How to Add a New Employee
You can add new team members to your company directly from the app.
Step 1: Tap the ‘Settings’ icon in the top-right corner.
Step 2: Select ‘Employee Management’.
Step 3: You'll be taken to the web version. Go to the ‘All Employees’ tab. Tap ‘Add New Employee’.
Step 4: Enter the employee’s email address and assign their role. Tap ‘Continue’.
Note: If the employee already has an existing account, make sure you send the invitation to the same registered email address.
The invitation link will be shared with the Pro. You can see the sent invitation in the ‘Requests & Invites’ tab.
How to Update an Employee’s Role
If an employee’s role has been updated, you can quickly modify it within the app.
Step 1: Open the Cielo PRO app and tap the ‘Settings icon’ in the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Select ‘Employee Management’ from the menu.
Step 3: Navigate to the ‘All Employees’ tab to view the complete list of your team.
Step 4: Locate the employee whose role you want to update and tap ‘Update Role’ next to their name.
Step 5: Add the new role and tap 'Submit'.
PRO Access
PRO Access is a feature in the Cielo PRO app that allows HVAC professionals to temporarily reconnect to an installed Cielo Smart Thermostat directly via Bluetooth. Whether you are on-site for a system reconfiguration or troubleshooting a technical issue, PRO Access gives you fast, secure access to the device without requiring an on-site Wi-Fi connection.
Here's how to enable PRO access:
Step 1: Go to 'Menu'.
Step 2: Tap 'Know Your PRO'.
Step 3: Tap 'PRO Access' to enable it.
Step 4: Now, open the Cielo PRO app. Tap 'PRO Access' on the homescreen, then tap 'Continue'.
Step 5: Select the required options. Once you have made all the necessary changes, tap ‘Finish’ to end the session.
