Can I install & register Cielo Breez Lite myself? – Cielo Customer Support

Yes, you can easily install & register the Breez Lite device by yourself. For optimal results, it is recommended to plug the device in using the provided 5V adapter and cable. Then download the Cielo Home app and follow the instructions below.

Note: Before finalizing the placement, it is recommended to first power up, register, and test the device to ensure signals can easily reach the AC.

For optimal placement and control

Make sure Breez Lite is in the line of sight of your air conditioner or heat pump.
To avoid deviated sensor readings, do not place the device in an area that may be exposed to excessive sunlight or other heat sources.

Note: It is strongly advised that whenever you need to use the remote control for the AC, point it towards Breez Lite while performing any action. This way, your AC and the Cielo Home app will always be in sync.

Prior to App Installation

For your phone:

Make sure your smartphone’s Bluetooth is turned ON.
Make sure your smartphone’s Wi-Fi is turned ON.
Make sure your smartphone has internet access.

For your Wi-Fi router:

Make sure you have a working internet connection on your Wi-Fi router.
Make sure there is no proxy server or authentication server configured on your internet connection.
Make sure there is no captive portal on your Wi-Fi router.
Make sure IP isolation or client isolation is turned OFF on your Wi-Fi router.

App Installation & Registration

The device registration process connects Breez Lite to your home Wi-Fi network through the Cielo Home app.

Install the ‘Cielo Home’ app from the App Store/Play Store. Log in to the app if you already have an account; otherwise, create one using the sign-up option.

Note for iOS users:

For iOS 13.0 & above, location permission is required to complete the registration process. You may disable it later.

Note for Android users:

For Android OS 8.1 and above, location permission is required to complete the registration process. You may disable it later.

Step 1: Open the Cielo Home app, tap ‘Add Device’ on the home screen, and select Breez Lite from the list of devices.

Step 2: Tap on ‘ Continue’.

Step 3: Allow required permissions. You may disable them later. Tap on ‘ Continue’.

Step 4: Tap ‘Connect’.

Step 5: Customize your device with a name of your choice (for example, Bedroom, Lounge, Oﬃce, etc.). Then tap on 'Continue'.

Step 6: Tap on ‘Scan Wi-Fi Networks’ to connect your device to Wi-Fi.

Step 7: Your device has been successfully registered. Tap on ‘Done’.

Step 8: After a successful configuration, your device will be displayed on your home screen.

Step 9: Get a hold of your AC’s remote and tap ‘Next’.

Step 10: Point your AC remote at the Cielo Device and press the remote’s 'Power Button' once. It will start the processing & conﬁguration process.
