There may be two cases where Android Smartphone will fail to connect with the Cielo Device Wi-Fi network.
Case 1
Due of non-availability of internet on any Wi-Fi network, connection is restricted on the OS level. As there is no internet on Breezi Wi-Fi network, your Android phone saves this Wi-Fi as "Wi-Fi without internet". The next time you search for available Wi-Fi networks, Android phone will not connect with the Breezi Wi-Fi network.
Solution: "Forget" the Cielo Device Wi-Fi Network
In order to register the Cielo Breezi successfully:
1. Open your smartphone Wi-Fi Settings and ‘Forget’ the Cielo Device Network from the list of available Wi-Fi connections.
2. Go to Cielo Home App and register the Device again as mentioned in Step (3b) of the Detailed User Manual.
Case 2
Smart Network Switch in Samsung Smartphones
Smart network Switch is a feature in Samsung phones that allows your phone to automatically switch between Wi-Fi and the Mobile Network Data. If your Wi-Fi connection is too slow or there is no internet, this feature will automatically switch your connection from Wi-Fi to your Mobile Data. (if the Mobile Data Network is turned ON)
There is a high probability that you will not be able to register Cielo Device with your Samsung Phone if your Smart Network Switch is turned ON.
To register Cielo Breezi (Smart Wi-Fi USB Dongle) in this case:
1) You can either turn OFF your mobile network (cellular) data and then connect with Cielo device through your Home Wi-Fi network for registration.
or
2) You can turn your Smart Network Switch OFF and then connect with your Cielo Device for registration.
Please follow below given instructions to turn OFF the Smart Network Switch on your Samsung phone:
For Version 5.X (Lollipop)
- Swipe down from the top of the home screen
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi icon
- Uncheck the box to turn OFF the Smart Network Switch.
For Version 6.X (Marshmellow)
- Swipe down from the top of the home screen
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi icon
- Tap the 'More' icon (located in the upper-right) and tap 'Smart netwrok switch'.
- Press 'Off'.
FOr Version 7.X (Nougat)
- Swipe down from the top of the home screen
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi icon
- Tap the 'Advanced' icon located in the upper-right corner of Wi-Fi settings screen
- Press the toggle button OFF for Smart network switch.
Note: After registering your Cielo device, you can turn ON your Mobile Network Data again.
