Breez Max Control Screen
Adjusting the temperature of your AC:
Use the up or down button to set the temperature of your choice.
Changing the mode of your AC:
Touch the menu button once. The AC modes will start blinking. Use the up or down
button to select the mode (e.g. Cool, Heat etc.).
Changing the fan speed:
Touch the menu button twice. The fan speed icon will start blinking. Use the up or down
button to change the fan speed.
Adjusting the swing position:
Touch the menu button thrice. The swing position icon will start blinking. Use the up or
down button to select the swing position.
Changing multiple settings:
You can set the mode, swing position & fan speed. Touch the menu button once and select
the mode of your choice. Touch the menu button again and adjust the fan speed. Touch
the menu button again and select the swing position.
Applying a Preset:
Tap on the preset icon to select the preset you want to apply.
Locking/Unlocking the display interface:
Touch and hold the Temperature Up and Down buttons simultaneously until the lock icon on the top right of the screen turns solid/disappears.
Resetting the Wi-Fi of Breez Max:
Touch and hold the Temperature Up and Power buttons simultaneously until the Wi-Fi icon disappears and the Bluetooth icon starts blinking.
Setting up Schedules for Your Heating and Cooling
Cielo Breez Max lets you set cooling/heating schedules, allowing you to enjoy a true smart home experience and maximize your energy savings.
- Custom Schedule: Easily schedule your preferred mode, temperature, and fan settings for the day(s) and time that works best for you.
- Preset Schedule: Allows you to schedule predefined Presets (Home, Away, Sleep)
- Comfy Max Schedule: Schedules your saved Comfy Max (AI-based algorithm to eliminate overcooling/overheating).
- Comfy Mode Schedule: Allows you to schedule your Comfy Mode templates.
Here's how you can set any of these four types of schedules.
Setting up a Custom Schedule
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Schedule’ in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on '+ Add Schedule'.
Step 4: Tap on ‘Custom Schedule’.
Step 5: Select the time/days you want to set the schedule for and choose whether you want to set it up as a repeat schedule. Tap on 'Custom Settings'.
Step 6: Select the power state, mode, temperature, and fan speed of your choice and tap on ‘Done’.
Step 7: Tap on ‘Save’ to set up the schedule.
Once the schedule is set, it will appear on the schedule tab. You can turn it On/Off by toggling the slider against the schedule.
2. Scheduling a Preset
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Schedule’ in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on '+ Add Schedule'.
Step 4: Tap on ‘Preset Schedule’.
Step 5: Select the time/days you want to set the schedule for choose whether you want to set it as a repeat schedule.
Step 6: Select the Preset you want to schedule.
Step 7: Tap on 'Save' to set up the schedule.
3. Scheduling Comfy Max
Note: To schedule Comfy Max, you need to save at least one template setting for Comfy Max in the app. After you have done that, follow the steps below to schedule your Comfy Max.
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Schedule’ in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on ‘+ Add Schedule’.
Step 4: Select ‘Comfy Max Schedule’.
Step 5: Select the time and day(s) and choose whether you want to set it as a repeat schedule. Then, select your desired Comfy Max template.
Once the Comfy Max schedule is set, it will appear on the schedules tab. You can enable/disable it by toggling the slider against the schedule.
4. Adding Comfy Schedule
Note: To schedule Comfy mode, you need to save at least one template setting in the app. After you have done that, follow the steps below.
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Schedule’ in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on ‘+ Add Schedule’.
Step 4: Select ‘Comfy Schedule’.
Step 5: Select the time and day(s) and choose whether you want to set it as a repeat schedule. Then, select your desired Comfy template.
Once the Comfy schedule is set, it will appear on the schedules tab. You can enable/disable it by toggling the slider against the schedule.
5. Deleting/Editing a schedule
Step 1: From the device control screen, tap on ‘Schedule’ in the navigation bar.
Step 2: In the 'Schedule' tab, you will see all your set schedules.
Step 3: Swipe left on the schedule you want to edit or delete until both options for Edit/Delete appear.
Choose your desired option and proceed.
Setting up Comfy Max
Comfy Max transforms your Cielo Breez Max into a true smart thermostat for your mini-split. It goes beyond basic control by enabling your mini-split to operate in a highly configurable, intelligent mode. Comfy Max helps you achieve your desired home climate while preventing overheating or overcooling.
You can set up Comfy Max for your mini-split by performing these steps via the Cielo Home app:
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on ‘eSaver’ in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on 'Comfy Max'.
Step 4: Tap on ‘Add Template’ to set up Comfy Max.
Step 5: Choose your preferred temperature, and select whether you want the fan to run after your desired cooling temperature has been reached. Add a name for this template and tap on ‘Done’.
Step 6: Your Comfy Max settings are now saved. You can turn Comfy Max 'On' from the toggle next to the name of the Comfy Max template.
Setting up Comfy Temperature Mode
Comfy Humidity mode helps you maintain optimal indoor air quality by automatically adjusting your AC settings when humidity levels go above or below your preferred range. This ensures a comfortable environment while preventing issues like mold growth.
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on ‘eSaver’ in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on 'Comfy'.
Step 4: Tap on 'Add Template' under the Comfy Temperature heading.
Step 5: Choose your preferred temperature range. Then select the actions to perform if the temperature falls below or rises above the set range, e.g., turning the AC off or on, changing its mode, setpoint, fan speed, and swing position to help it return to the preferred temperature range. Add a name for this template and tap on ‘Done’.
Note: You can set up multiple Comfy templates. Each of the templates can be turned 'On' or 'Off' from the toggle next to its name. You can have a different Comfy Mode for the morning, a different mode for the afternoon, and so on.
Step 6: You can also turn Comfy Mode On/Off from the app control screen. Tap on the 'Up' arrow icon at the bottom of the control screen.
Step 7: In the pop-up navigation bar, tap on 'Comfy' to toggle it On or Off. The greyed-out icon shows that it is currently Off.
Step 8: Select the desired Comfy Mode from the list of available Comfy settings. In this case, 'Temperature'.
Step 9: Comfy Mode is now active, and the Comfy icon will turn white. It is now turned 'On'.
Setting up Comfy Humidity Mode
Comfy Humidity mode helps you maintain optimal indoor air quality by automatically adjusting your AC settings when humidity levels go above or below your preferred range. This ensures a comfortable environment while preventing issues like mold growth or excessive dryness.
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on ‘eSaver’ in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on 'Comfy'.
Step 4: Tap on ‘Add Template' to set up a Comfy Humidity template.
Step 5: Choose your preferred humidity range. Then, select what actions to perform if the humidity falls below or goes above the set range, e.g., turning the AC off or on, changing its mode, setpoint, and fan speed, swing position, helping it get back into the preferred humidity range. Add a name for this template and tap on ‘Done’.
Step 6: 'Comfy Humidity' is now set. You can turn Comfy Mode 'On' or 'Off' from the toggle next to the name of the Comfy Mode. Once the device triggers the defined Comfy humidity mode actions, you will get a notification in your app timeline.
Step 7: You can turn Comfy Mode On/Off from the app control screen. Tap on the 'Up' arrow icon at the bottom of the control screen.
Step 8: On the pop-up navigation bar, tap on 'Comfy' to toggle it On or Off. Currently, it is turned 'Off', shown by the greyed-out icon.
Step 9: To turn it 'On', tap on the Comfy icon, and it will turn white. It is now turned 'On'.
Enabling Geofencing or Location-Based Controls
Geofencing automatically turns your unit off when you leave your predefined location, and turns it back on when you return. This feature helps optimize comfort and save energy by automating your AC usage.
Note: Location permissions must be enabled at all times for the Cielo Home app on your smartphone.
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on ‘eSaver’ in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on ‘Geofencing’.
Step 4: Tap on ‘Create Geofence’.
Step 5: Your current location will be displayed on the map. You can also use the search bar to manually find and select a different location.
Set your preferred location radius. Tap ‘Done’ to proceed.
Step 6: Choose the AC settings (mode, temperature, fan speed, etc.) to be implemented when you enter the predefined location.
Step 7: Select the AC settings to be applied when you exit the geofence area.
Note: You can also select Comfy mode to be applied when you enter or leave. Make sure that a Comfy template is set up beforehand.
Step 8: Tap ‘Apply’ to save your settings.
Setting up Temperature Range Lock
The Temperature Range Lock feature on Breez Max lets you define a minimum and maximum temperature limit for your mini-split, window, or portable AC unit. This ensures guests can only adjust the temperature within your approved range.
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on ‘eSaver’ in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on 'Temperature Range Lock'.
Step 4: Toggle the slider to enable range lock, as shown in the red box.
Step 5: Choose your preferred temperature range to operate the AC in. Carefully read the on-screen note. Tap 'Apply', then 'Done'.
Step 6: Now, the device control screen temperature slider will be restricted to the temperature range specified. The white region on the temperature slider is inaccessible.
Note:
Applying Temperature Range Lock will result in the following:
- Comfy Max if enabled will be auto adjusted.
- Preset setpoints will be auto-adjusted.
- Geofencing/ location-based triggers will be disabled.
- Any active links in Cielo Linked that are outside the range will be auto-adjusted.
Checking Your AC’s Air Filter Status
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on eSaver in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on 'Air Filter.'
Step 4: You will see your current air filter status since registration (or since the last cleaning). If usage is 81% or higher, remove the air filter and clean it. Once the filter is dry, place it back into your unit. Open your Cielo Home app and tap on 'Mark as Cleaned'.
Step 5: After you have marked the filter as cleaned, the status resets to 0%, and the app begins a new tracking cycle.
Note: You can set the number of usage hours after which you'd like to be notified for the next filter cleaning. The Cielo Home App will send timely notifications to help you stay on top of air conditioner maintenance.
Adding Shortcuts to Cielo Home (For iOS users)
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'more' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on ‘eSaver’ in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on ‘Add Siri Shortcuts’.
Step 4: Tap on 'Create Shortcut' to make a new Siri Shortcut.
Step 5: Choose whether you want to add "Preset" as a shortcut or select "Custom" and enter the desired AC settings. You can set the AC power, operating mode, temperature set point, fan speed, and swing position. Tap on ‘Done’.
Step 6: Next, enter the phrase you want the Shortcut to be activated on. In this example, 'Cool The Room'. Tap on 'Add to Siri'.
Step 7: All your currently active Siri Shortcuts will now be displayed. In this example, when you say to Siri 'Cool The Room, the AC will turn on at 73 degrees in cool mode at high fan speed.
Checking Usage History
The Usage History in the Cielo Home app provides a clear view of how long your mini-split, window, or portable unit has been running.
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings. additional
Step 2: On the Control screen, tap on 'History'.
Step 3: A 30-day usage summary will appear. You can tap on any specific day to view a detailed breakdown of the usage for that day.
Checking Timeline of Actions
The Timeline of Actions feature in Cielo Breez Max provides a detailed view of actions performed on your unit.
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: On the Control screen, tap on 'Timeline'.
Step 3: You'll see a complete list of actions performed over the last 90 days.
Editing a preset
Presets are predefined temperature settings designed to make managing your home climate effortless. You can easily switch between different presets tailored to your specific requirements.
Presets come with a default setting. You can also edit these settings by following the steps below:
Step 1: Tap on 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: From the device control screen, tap on the 'eSaver' icon in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on ‘Preset’.
Step 4: Select the Preset you want to edit.
Step 5: Make your desired changes and tap on the ‘Done’ button.
Your Preset has been updated successfully.
Change Appliance (Manufacturer/Model Number)
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right.
Step 3: Tap on ‘Change Appliance’.
Step 4: Tap on 'Manual Configuration'.
Step 5: Select the 'Manufacturer' & 'Remote Model' of your AC from the drop-down list and tap 'Confirm'.
Changing Device Name (e.g. bedroom, lounge etc.)
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap on 'More' to access additonal settings.
Step 2: Tap on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right.
Step 3: Tap on the pencil icon in front of the device name.
Step 4: Select the new name from a list of common names or type a custom name.
Step 5: Tap on 'Update.' The device name is now changed.
Breez Max Device Display Settings
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap the Settings icon ⚙️ in the top right corner.
Step 3: Tap on 'Display Brightness'.
Step 4: Adjust the active screen brightness as needed. You can also toggle the backlight on/off of the standby screen.
Calibrate Room Temperature
Temperature calibration helps correct inaccuracies caused by differences between the ambient temperature near your Breez Max and the rest of your room.
Step 1: On the home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right.
Step 3: Tap on 'Calibration'.
Step 4: Calibrate the temperature by tapping the minus (-) or plus (+) icons as needed.
Calibrate Room Humidity
Humidity calibration helps correct inaccuracies caused by differences in humidity levels between your Breez Max and the rest of your room.
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings. additional
Step 2: Tap on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right.
Step 3: Tap on 'Calibration'.
Step 4: Tap on the ‘Humidity’ tab. Calibrate the humidity by tapping - or + according to your requirements.
Step 5: Tap 'Apply'.
Enable or disable the on-device touch controls on Breez Max
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap the Settings icon ⚙️ in the top right corner.
Step 3: Tap ‘Touch’.
Step 4: Toggle to enable or disable the on-device touch controls.
Step 5: Tap ‘Apply’ once done.
Group Settings of your connected Air Conditioners
A group will allow you to control all your registered devices together with a simple tap.
1. Creating a Group
To create a Group in the Cielo Home app, follow these steps:
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap the 'Settings' icon at the top right corner.
Step 3: Tap on ‘Move to Group.
Step 4: Tap on Create a new group.
Step 5: Give your group a name (e.g. Ground floor, First floor, Basement, etc.)
Step 6: Choose an icon.
Step 7: Tap on ‘Done’. Group is created successfully.
2. Adding a Device to a Group
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on the 'Settings’ icon in the navigation bar.
Step 3: Tap on ‘Move to Group’.
Step 4: On the Group screen, you will see a list of all of your active groups. Tap on the group you wish to move the device to.
Step 5: You will see a check mark next to the group name. Tap on ‘Done’.
On the Home screen, you will see a separate ‘Groups’ tab. You can tap on the group to see all your devices in that group.
3. Removing a Device From a Group
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap the group you want to remove your device from.
Step 2: Tap on 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 3: Go to the ‘Settings’ on the top right.
Step 4: Tap on ‘Remove from Group.’
Step 5: Tap on ‘Yes’.
Device removed from the group successfully.
4. Editing a Group
Step 1: Tap on the ‘Settings’ icon of the group you wish to edit.
Step 2: In group settings, tap on ‘Edit Group.
You can change the icon and name of the group as you desire.
5. Deleting a Group
Note: To delete a group, you have to remove all the devices added to it individually. You may not be allowed to delete a group otherwise. To delete a device from a group, refer to Section 3.
Step 1: Tap on the ‘Settings’ icon of the group you wish to edit.
Step 2: In group settings, tap on ‘Delete Group’.
Switch temperature units between Centigrade and Fahrenheit
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right.
Step 3: Tap on ‘Temperature Unit’.
Note: If the option to change temperature unit isn't available, please contact Cielo Tech Support for assistance.
Step 4: Select your preferred unit. Note that changing the temperature unit will delete your current schedule, statistics, and timeline. Tap ‘Yes’ to proceed.
Adding Address
Add your address to sync weather data. This will allow you to use exciting features like integrated controls (set-up automation based on outdoor temperature).
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right.
Step 3: Tap on 'Address'.
Step 4: Tap on 'Add Address'.
Step 5: Enter your address and tap on 'Next'.
Step 6: Add a label to your address, and tap on 'Save'.
Removing your Device
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right.
Step 3: Tap on 'Remove Device’.
Step 4: Tap on ‘Remove’. Your device is now removed.
Changing Wi-Fi
Here’s a detailed guide on how to change the Wi-Fi network of your Breez Max.
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on 'Setting' icon at the top right.
Step 3: Tap on ‘Device Wi-Fi’.
Step 4: Allow required permissions.
Then, go to your Breez Max and press and hold the Power button and the Temperature Up button simultaneously for 6 seconds. The Bluetooth icon on the display will start blinking, and the app will automatically move to the next screen.
Note: This step is essential when changing Wi-Fi to put Bluetooth in broadcast mode.
Step 5: On the Cielo Home app, you’ll see your Breez Max device name appear on the screen. Tap ‘Next’ to continue.
Step 6: Tap 'Scan Wi-Fi Networks'. A list of available Wi-Fi networks will appear. Select your desired Wi-Fi network, and enter the password to connect.
Wi-Fi network will be changed successfully. You’ll see a confirmation message in the app.
AC State (e.g. AC is ON and App is showing it as OFF)
Step 1: On the Home screen, tap 'More' to access additional settings.
Step 2: Tap on the ‘Settings’ icon on the top right.
Step 3: Tap on ‘Sync AC State’.
Step 4: Select the AC parameters that you want on your Breez Max device. Then tap on 'Done'. The Breez Max device will now display these selected parameter values.
Multi-Zone Mini-Split Control
Cielo Breez Max offers a dedicated feature that helps prevent mode conflicts and ensures smooth operation in multi-zone setups.
Step 1: Open 'Menu' from the Home screen and tap on 'Multi-Zone Mini-Split Control'.
Step 2: Tap on ‘Create a Multi-Zone’.
Step 3: Select the mini-splits that you want to group as a multi-zone. Tap on 'Continue'.
Step 4: Choose a name for your multi-zone. Also, select a suitable icon. Tap on 'Continue'.
Step 5: Select from the two options: ‘Follow’ or ‘Turn Off’. Tap on 'Save'.
Your multi-zone mini-split control will be activated.
