There may be instances when Comfy Max sets your AC's temperature to a few degrees above or below your preferred setpoints, but that does not mean your AC will actually heat or cool the room to that temperature value.
Let’s take an example of the following scenario:
Suppose your setpoints are 70F (for heating) and 75F (for cooling), and your current room temperature is 68F. Since 68F is lower than the preferred heating temperature, Comfy Max will ensure that the heating starts. For that, it will send its own algorithm-defined setpoint to the mini-split. It may set your unit’s temperature to a few degrees above your chosen heating setpoint (depending on your particular room conditions, outdoor conditions, and the time it will take to achieve your desired temperature settings).
Breez Max will keep observing the room temperature; as soon as the room temperature reaches 70F (which is your preferred setpoint), Comfy Max will send a new setpoint to your mini-split. It could be anything below your desired heating temperature to ensure that the compressor goes to near minimal and heating gradually stops to maintain your preferred room temperature.
