Yes, you can calibrate the temperature sensor on your Cielo Breez Max. Temperature calibration is the process of adjusting the temperature readings on your Cielo Breez Max to match the ambient room temperature. This helps ensure the device shows accurate temperature readings.
Why Temperature Readings May Differ
- Installing Breez Max near a drafty window or in direct sunlight can cause inaccurate readings.
- Heat from nearby electronics, such as lamps or computers, can raise the surrounding temperature, resulting in elevated readings on the device.
How to Check If Your Device Needs Calibration
Checking whether your Breez Max needs calibration involves comparing its reading with your actual room temperature.
- Take a thermometer and place it near your Breez Max at a similar height.
- Wait 15 minutes and then record the readings on both your thermometer and your Breez Max. Calculate the difference between the two. A difference of one to three degrees is acceptable, but if it’s more than that, your Breez Max needs to be calibrated. For instance, if the thermometer shows room temperature as 73°F and Breez Max shows 78°F, then there is a 5-degree difference that needs to be adjusted.

💡Helpful Information
In Fahrenheit, you can calibrate temperature by up to ±8°F in either direction at a time. To calibrate further, first save your initial calibration, then you can adjust an additional ±7°F.
In Celsius, you can calibrate temperature by up to ±5°C in either direction at a time. To calibrate further, first save your initial calibration, then you can adjust an additional ±4°C.
Step 5: Tap on ‘Apply’ to save the calibration settings.
