Cielo PRO App allows the HVAC Pros to:
- Set up Cielo smart thermostats for mini-splits via Bluetooth-based configuration.
- Run quick checks for power state, mode, and setpoint with the Test Equipment feature.
- Seamlessly hand off the device to customers using an invite link and QR code.
- Turn every installation into a powerful branding opportunity with free Pro branding.
Installing Cielo Breez Edge Pro Using the Cielo PRO App
Step 1: Install Using the Cielo PRO App
On the Cielo PRO App home screen, tap on ‘Install a Product’.
Note: If you are installing multiple devices, it is recommended to power on and install the first device before proceeding to the next.
Step 2: Select Breez Edge Pro
Tap on Cielo Breez Edge Pro. The app will automatically begin searching for the device via Bluetooth and connect automatically.
Step 3: Remote Configuration
Once the device is connected, choose how you would like to configure the remote:
Option 1: Auto Remote Detection
In Auto Remote Detection, Breez Edge Pro automatically detects the AC remote when you point it toward the device and press the power button.
Option 2: Manual Remote Selection
In Manual Remote Selection, you can select the specific model from the list of compatible IR remotes.
Option 1: Auto Remote Detection
- Tap on 'Auto Remote Detection'.
- Point the AC remote directly at the device and press the power button once.
- Select the preferred temperature unit (°F or °C) and tap on ‘Done’. Device configuration is complete. Tap on ‘Continue’.
Option 2: Manual Remote Selection
- Tap on 'Manual Remote Selection'.
2. Select the manufacturer & remote model from the drop-down lists and tap on ‘Continue’.

Configuration Complete
Device configuration is complete. Tap on 'Continue' to proceed to Test Equipment.
Test Equipment
The Test Equipment feature allows you to test AC commands, such as power, mode, and setpoint, to ensure everything is working correctly.
Step 1: Tap on 'Start Testing'.
Step 2: Select the current AC state.
Step 3: Test the following commands to ensure everything is working correctly:
- Power: Confirm the mini-split turns ON and OFF.
- Mode: Verify that the unit operates correctly in Cool, Heat, etc.
- Setpoint: Confirm the temperature adjusts as expected.
In case of Auto Remote Detection, tap on ‘Yes, Continue’ if everything worked correctly or tap on 'No, Try Another Remote' to cycle through the suggested options to find a compatible match.
In case of Manual Remote Selection, tap on ‘Yes, Continue’ if everything worked correctly or tap on 'No, Reconfigure' to change the remote manufacturer & model.
Optional: Select the BTU rating of the unit.
Upload Branding Details
After configuring and testing the equipment, you can add your logo and contact details to the customer’s device.
This ensures customers can easily reach you for future service and support.
Important
For Cielo Breez Edge Pro, the pro branding appears on both the thermostat and customer’s Cielo Home app. For Cielo Breez Max, pro branding will only appear in the Cielo Home app.
Step 1: Tap on 'Upload'.
Step 2: Upload your logo to the customer’s device.
Device Hand-Off
Once a thermostat is installed and configured, the Cielo PRO app makes it easy to hand off ownership to the homeowner instantly, either by sending them an invite link or having them scan a QR code on-site.
Step 1: To handoff the device to the customer, tap on 'Handoff’.
Step 2: Add the customer’s email address and other details. Tap on ‘Continue'.
Note: If the customer already has a Cielo account, use the same email address associated with it.
Step 3: The invite link will be shared with the homeowner. You can also ask the homeowner to scan the QR code using their phone. Tap on ‘Done’.
Once the handoff is completed, the installed thermostat is linked to the homeowner's account.
Handoff Later
The Cielo PRO app also offers a Handoff Later option for added convenience. You can set up the thermostat in advance from anywhere, and once at the customer's location, simply install it, test it, and hand it over.
Step 1: Tap on 'Handoff Later'.
Step 2: Add a note for later.
Step 3: Later, when you arrive at the customer’s house, tap on ‘Resume Installation’ on the Cielo PRO app home screen to continue the setup from where you left off.
