Cielo Smart Thermostat Eco can seamlessly integrate with IFTTT (If This Then That). With this integration, you can connect your thermostat to numerous smart devices and services, enabling convenient, hands-free climate control.
For instance, you can set your device to power off during peak hours reported by Fort Collins Utility, helping you reduce energy consumption and save on your electricity bills.
Helpful Information
When creating an applet in IFTTT, you will need to define a Trigger and an Action:
Trigger (If This): This is the event that starts the automation. For example, “If room temperature rises above a certain value”.
Action (Then That): This is the task that follows once the trigger occurs. For example, “Then set Cielo Smart Thermostat to Home”.
- IFTTT Applet: An applet is an automation that connects two or more devices or services so that when a specific condition is met (If This), an action is automatically triggered (Then That).
Step 1: Connect Cielo Home with IFTTT
In order to use the IFTTT app, you'll need an IFTTT account.
If you already have an account, that's perfect. If you don't already have one, please create an IFTTT account and log in to move further.
- Open the IFTTT app.
- Tap Explore and search for Cielo.
- Tap the Cielo Home icon and select Connect.
Step 2: Authorize the Connection
- You’ll be asked to authorize the connection of your Cielo Home account to IFTTT.
- Tap Authorize to continue.
- Enter your Cielo Home credentials and select Sign In.
Once your Cielo Home account is successfully connected to IFTTT, you can use the existing applets or create one on your own.
