Cielo Smart Thermostat Eco lets you control your HVAC system with simple voice commands.
Cielo Smart Thermostat name should be compatible with the Google Assistant. It does not understand names with special characters or numbers.
To configure your Device with the Google Assistant follow the instructions given below:
Step 1: Log In to Google Home
Log in to your Google Home account to link your device.
Step 2: Create Home
Note: In order to use a Google Home device, you’ll need to create a Home to add your devices. If you have done that already, that's perfect — simply skip Step 2 and move to Step 3.
Tap on ‘Create home’. Enter a name for your home. Tap ‘Next’.
Enter your address and tap ‘Next’. You can also skip this if you want.
Step 3: Add Device
Tap on ‘Devices’ in the navigation bar. Tap on ‘+ Add device’.
On the ‘Choose a device’ screen, tap on 'Works with Google Home'.
In the search bar, type ‘Cielo Home’ and tap on it. This will ask you to link your Cielo Home account with your Google Home account. Tap ‘Continue.’
Enter your app credentials and tap the ‘Sign In’ button.
Step 4: Add a room
After a successful link-up you will be taken to the ‘Add smart home devices’ screen. Select your device and add it to a room. In this case, 'Living Room'. Choose a room for this device. Tap ‘Next.’
Enter a ‘custom room name.’ Tap, ‘Continue. You will get a message saying, ‘The device has been added to your home.’
Step 5: Using Google Home App to Control Your HVAC
Tap on ‘Devices’ in the navigation bar. Select your added device.
Google Home App will give you the following controls:
- Change your HVAC Mode - Heat, Cool, Auto, and Off.
- Increase or decrease your set point temperature.
Note 1: Google Assistant Voice Commands for Cielo Smart Thermostats
It is capable of handling the following commands:
- Turn On/Turn Off, e.g. Hey Google, turn On/Off Cielo Smart Thermostat.
- Increase/Decrease temperature, e.g. Hey Google, increase/decrease Cielo Smart Thermostat by 2 degrees.
- Set temperature, e.g. Hey Google, set Cielo Smart Thermostat to 72 degrees.
- Ask the current set temperature of the thermostat, e.g. Hey Google, what is Cielo Smart Thermostat set to?
- Ask the current temperature reading or ambient temperature detected by the device, e.g. Hey Google, what is the current temperature?
- Ask the current humidity reading or ambient humidity detected by the device, e.g. Hey Google, what is the current humidity?
- Ask to change HVAC mode Hey Google, change Cielo Smart Thermostat mode to cool.
Note 3: Google Assistant Compatible Device Names
Google Assistant does not understand names with special characters or numbers. It only understands simple English names for devices. To use Google Assistant with Cielo Smart Thermostats, we recommend users to name these devices accordingly.
- Use names with alphabets only. For e.g. “Bedroom”, “Bed Room”, “bedroom”, “bed ROOM” all are unique in writing but not in hearing. Google Assistant will hear “bedroom” for all these names. Google Assistant will only send the command to the device that comes first in the search if there are two devices with similar names.
- Google Assistant will not be able to identify device if there are any spell mistakes, for e.g. “bedroooom”.
- Google Assistant will not be able to identify names with special characters or numeric, e.g. “b3dr00m”, “bedrom.”
