Cielo Smart Thermostat Eco lets you control your HVAC system with simple voice commands using Google Assistant. From changing modes to adjusting temperatures, everything can be done hands-free once your device is linked with the Google Home app.
Note: Cielo Smart Thermostat Eco name should be compatible with the Google Assistant. It does not understand names with special characters or numbers. Refer to device naming guidelines at the end of this guide.
Step-by-step Guide to Configure Google Assistant
To configure the Cielo Smart Thermostat Eco with Google Assistant, follow the instructions given below:
Step 1: Log In to Google Home
Open the Google Home app from your device and log in to your Google Home account to link your device.
Step 2: Create Home
Tap on ‘Create home’. Enter a name for your home. Tap ‘Next’. Enter your address and tap ‘Next’. You can also skip this if you want.
Note: In order to use a Google Home device, you’ll need to create a Home to add your devices. If you have done that already, that's perfect — simply skip Step 2 and move to Step 3.
Step 3: Add Device
Tap on ‘Devices’ in the navigation bar. Tap on ‘+ Add device’. On the ‘Choose a device’ screen, tap on 'Works with Google Home'.
In the search bar, type ‘Cielo Home’ and tap on it. This will ask you to link your Cielo Home account with your Google Home account. Tap ‘Continue.’ Enter your app credentials and tap the ‘Sign In’ button.
Step 4: Add Device to a Room
After a successful link-up you will be taken to the ‘Add smart home devices’ screen. Select your device and add it to a room. In this case, 'Living Room'. Choose a room for this device. Tap ‘Next.’
Enter a ‘custom room name.’ Tap, ‘Continue. You will get a message saying, ‘The device has been added to your home.’
To use Google Home App to control your HVAC system, tap on ‘Devices’ in the navigation bar. Select your added device.
Step 5: Using Google Home App to Control Your Air Conditioning
Google Home App will give you the following controls:
1. Increase or decrease your set point temperature.
2. Change your HVAC Mode - Heat, Cool, Auto, and Off.

Once connected, you can use the following commands:
- Turn ON/OFF the thermostat

- Ask for the current humidity

- Change HVAC mode

Google Assistant Compatible Device Naming Guidelines
To ensure Google Assistant correctly recognizes and responds to your commands, follow these naming best practices:
Use simple alphabet-only names without any special characters.
- Correct: Bedroom, Living Room
- Incorrect: B3dr00m, Bed.Room, Room#1
Avoid duplicate or similar-sounding names.
- Names like bedroom, Bed Room, bed ROOM are different in text but sound the same to Google Assistant. If multiple devices share similar names, Google may control only the first one found.
Use correct spellings.
- Typos can interfere with voice recognition.
- Correct: Bedroom
- Incorrect (typo): Bedroooom
