Device Naming Guidelines
To ensure Alexa correctly recognizes and responds to your commands, follow these naming best practices:
Use simple alphabet-only names without any special characters.
- Correct: Bedroom, Living Room
- Incorrect: B3dr00m, Bed.Room, Room#1
Avoid duplicate or similar-sounding names.
- Names like bedroom, Bed Room, bed ROOM are different in text but sound the same to Alexa. If multiple devices share similar names, Alexa may control only the first one found.
Use correct spellings.
- Typos can interfere with voice recognition.
- Correct: Bedroom
- Incorrect (typo): Bedroooom
By naming your device clearly and correctly in the Cielo Home app, you ensure seamless integration with Alexa.
