If your Cielo Smart Thermostat doesn’t power on, follow these detailed steps to identify and resolve the issue:
Check Your Wiring and Terminal Connections
Start by inspecting all thermostat wires.
Make sure each wire is inserted into the correct terminal and firmly secured.
Tug each wire gently to confirm it’s not loose or partially connected.
Double-check that the wiring matches your system type (e.g., single-stage, heat pump, etc.).
Make Sure R Wire Is In Correct Terminal
The R wire supplies power to your thermostat.
Check that the R wire is properly inserted into the R terminal on the thermostat base.
If you have only one R wire (R, Rc, or Rh), make sure it’s inserted into the Rc terminal.
Check the HVAC System Cover Panel
Most HVAC systems have a safety switch that cuts power when the front cover panel is removed.
Ensure the panel or door on your furnace or air handler is completely closed and latched.
Once the panel is secured, the system should regain power, and the thermostat will turn on. ,
Inspect the C-Wire Adapter (If Applicable)
If you’re using the Cielo C-wire adapter, ensure that each wire is connected to its correct terminal.
All wire connections should be correctly color-coded according to the installation guide.
After completing the above checks:
Turn your HVAC system power OFF from the breaker for about 30 seconds, then turn it ON again.
Your Cielo Smart Thermostat should power up and reconnect automatically.
