Comfy Max transforms your Breez Edge into a true smart thermostat for your mini-split. It enables your mini-split to work in a configurable and intelligent mode. It prevents overheating/overcooling while maintaining your desired comfort settings at all times.
How Comfy Max Works
You just have to define your preferred temperature once, and Breez Edge handles the rest.
Comfy Max utilizes an AI-based intelligent algorithm to adjust the setpoints, fan speed, and mode of the mini-split to maintain your predefined room temperature, preventing overheating or overcooling.
Let’s say your comfort settings are:
🔥 Heating: 70°F
❄️ Cooling: 75°F
Scenario: Room temperature drops to 69°F
Since the room temperature is below your preferred heating setpoint, Comfy Max kicks in and tells your mini-split to start heating. The system might set a temporary heating setpoint slightly above 70°F, depending on:
- Current indoor temperature
- Outdoor conditions
- Estimated time to reach your comfort level
This smart adjustment helps reach your preferred temperature efficiently.
Your Breez Edge will continue to monitor the room temperature with its built-in sensors, and as soon as it reaches 70°F, it will signal your mini-split to lower the setpoint to a value below your current room temperature. The new setpoint will ensure that your mini-split compressor runs on minimal power to maintain the desired room temperature.
Comfy Max uses dynamic temperature adjustments to achieve and maintain your preferred comfort levels, preventing overheating and overcooling.
Helpful Insight
When using Comfy Max, the usage history displayed in the Cielo Home app only reflects the time your unit is actively heating or cooling. It does not include periods when the unit is powered on but in an idle state (neither heating nor cooling), which means the compressor is not running because the desired temperature has already been achieved.
For instance, if your mini-split stays on for 5 hours but only actively cools for 3 hours to maintain your preferred temperature, the usage history will show 3 hours, not 5. The remaining 2 hours, when the system was on but not actively cooling, will not be counted.
You can easily set up Comfy Max using both the device and the Cielo Home app.
