Cielo Breez Edge can be powered up in two different ways, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for your setup.
Powering Up Breez Edge
Option 1: Powering Up With 5V Adapter
- Use the included 5V USB adapter and cable.
- Simply plug the adapter into a wall socket and connect the USB cable to the Breez Edge.
Option 2: Powering Up With 24V Wired Connection
For a more permanent setup, you can connect Breez Edge to a 24V power source.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide Using 24V Wired Connection
Step 1: Turn Off the Power
- Use the circuit breaker to shut off power at the source. This is critical for your safety before working with electrical wiring.
Step 2: Identify a 24V Power Source
- Locate a nearby 24V terminal. If a 24V point is unavailable, you can either DIY or consult a professional installer.
- Ensure the power source is within the line of sight of your air conditioner or heat pump.
⚠️ Caution: Do NOT use any other voltage level to power up the device when using this method.
Step 3: Prepare the Wall Mount
- Take out the wires through the hole in the middle of the backplate.
- Screw in the backplate using the provided pair of drywall anchors and screws.
Step 4: Connect the Wires
- Breez Edge has two labeled terminals - Rc & C.
- Connect the red wire to the Rc.
- Connect the black one to the C.
- Press the small buttons on the terminal block to easily and securely insert the wires.
Step 5: Mount the Device
- Align the Breez Edge with the backplate.
- Press gently until it clicks into place and is securely mounted.
Step 6: Turn On the Power
- The installation process is complete.
- Go back to the circuit breaker and turn the power back on.
